- I've installed a new 28.8 MVP288IV internal fax/voice mail modem on my
- WIN 95 system. With both Hyperterminal and TRUMPET I have this problem
- when trying to call the Sportsters (V.34) on my office modem bank.
- Most of the time (95%) I get a 21600 baud connection with NO LAPM-M or
- compression, which produces a stream of garbage to either application.
- I've played with about 50 variations on set-up strings, all with the
- same results. If I try again and again, at some point I'll get
- PROTOCOL: LAP-M and all is fine. Any suggestions? Could there be something
- odd on the Sportsters that cause this behavior? E-mail to Cardinal
- tech support seems to be a black hole......all advice is welcome..e-mail
- if you've actually solved this problem!
